Practice in Ordering an Institutional Education and Imposing a Protective Young Offender Education
Anotation
The publication deals with the issue of court decisions on ordering institutional education and imposing protective education on children and juveniles. It presents the results of the IKSP research from 2008, carried out on the basis of the outcomes of the evaluation of the system of care for children at risk. It contains an analysis of the legal regulation of the institutions of institutional and protective education and presents basic statistical data on their use in the Czech Republic. The focus of the publication is on a detailed analysis of court files in cases in which protective education or institutional education was imposed in 2007, focusing primarily on the evidence available to the courts and the manner in which they took it into account in their decisions.
