Anotation
The publication reflects some experiences with the introduction of the crime prevention system in the Czech Republic after 1989. In the first part, the authors reflect on the necessity of evaluating prevention programmes and the methods and conditions of such evaluation. In the second part, the analysis of two empirical researches on the success of prevention rpgrammes applied at the local level is demonstrated.
