Anotation
The book summarizes results of a first part of research in the field of violent sex crime in the Czech Republic. It brings a detailed theoretical study of selected aspects of the issue, using different sources - legislation, scientific literature and official documents, available statistics, public opinion survey and media content analysis. The book provides readers with the comprehensive picture of a current state of knowledge in different aspects of the issue of violent sex crime, elaborated with a critical approach, and it presents also a contribution to the current discussion on the appropriate dealing with the violent sex offenders and on different measures to protect public against these offenders (e. g. the compulsory treatment, the registrationof sex offenders).
