Opinions and Attitudes of Citizens in the Field of Criminal Policy
Anotation
The publication describes the results of the research "Public and Criminal Policy", which was completed at the Institute for Criminology and Social Prevention. The monograph includes a brief description of the research methodology, the book offers a theoretical part dealing with the topics of public opinion and criminal policy and introduces the issues of research on public attitudes towards crime and criminal justice. The main part summarises the results of the large-scale public opinion survey IKSP_TP2009, which surveyed the views of the Czech public on the state and development of crime, the level of criminality or tolerance among citizens, their opinions on the function and operation of the criminal justice system, their views on the state of relevant legislation, as well as the perceived public awareness of the issue.
