Annotation
The professional book presents the results of the research task "Development of serious criminal activity in relation to social influences and risks". The solution followed on from the extensive research activity that had been consistently devoted to the issue of organized crime in the IKSP since the beginning of the 1990s. In the introduction, the authors summarized the investigation to date and characterized the current concept and the connection of organized crime with other forms of serious criminal activity. In the research, they focused on two areas. Firstly, to analyze the criminogenic factors that exist on a wider international scale and in the Czech Republic in the fields of politics, economy, law, state administration and self-government, the life of the population and the media, and which could be abused by the world of crime, secondly, to develop the basic characteristics of groups of organized crime in the Czech Republic since the early 1990s with a view to the 2020 horizon.
