The book provides a basic overview of the criminal justice system in the Czech Republic. It deals not only with the characteristics of substantive and procedural criminal law, but also with the current trends in criminal law reform, crime development and penal policy. With respect to the previous edition, it takes into account subsequent changes in the legislation, such as the introduction of criminal liability of legal persons or the protection of victims of crime in connection with the adoption of the Victims of Crime Act.
