Damage caused by cybercrime

This publication is a translation of a research report produced by the Home Office Science Advisory Council in January 2018. The document summarises the main outputs of the Costs of Cybercrime Working Group, which attempted to develop a framework that would allow the most accurate possible estimate of the costs of cybercrime.One of the reasons for this was undoubtedly that previous attempts at such estimates have faced many methodological problems and their results have shown a significant degree of inconsistency. In translating this report into Czech, the translators were guided by the desire to make the translation as accurate as possible in terms of meaning, which in places resulted in somewhat skeletal wording, but this does not affect the readability of the text.
